Meet The Pastor

Pastor Ryan Maljaars.

Pastor Ryan was born and raised in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia. He was saved by the grace of God through the faithful preaching of the gospel at our overseeing church, Free Grace Baptist Church. In 2019, he began formal theological training at Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently completing his Bachelor of Divinity program through online training. In May of 2022, Ryan was publicly theologically examined, and the members of Free Grace voted that, by God’s grace, he met the biblical qualifications for eldership, as laid out in 1 Tim 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. He was installed into the eldership by Pastor Jim Butler of Free Grace Baptist Church and Pastor Mike Kirkpatrick of Surrey Reformed Baptist Church and sent out to be the pastor of our church.
