Distinctives

Expository Preaching

We believe that one of the greatest means God uses to grow his people is through the preaching of his Word every Sunday. We are committed to the faithful exposition of the Scriptures as the primary element of our worship service. We desire to see God's children growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). Therefore, we systematically preach verse by verse through various books of the Bible and make application for Christlike living.

Prayer

We believe that prayer is one of the greatest privileges and duties of God's people. In addition to our private prayer life, we are dedicated to corporate prayer both in the worship service and in our regular prayer meetings.

Worship

We believe that worship is to be done in the way in which God has commanded in his word (Deut 12:32). In our worship services, we sing songs that are Scripturally grounded and theologically rich. We read Scripture, pray, receive the preaching of God's Word, and engage in the sacraments of baptism and the Lord's Supper (Communion).

Family

We believe that the church is the family of God (Eph 2:19). We believe in a strong sense of community and fellowship for all who belong to our church. We "strive to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace" (Eph 4:3). We share a fellowship meal every Sunday after the service as one way to promote this culture.

We also view the nuclear family as an institution of God and an important means by which he builds his own family, the church. We encourage children of all ages to participate in our entire worship service.

Teaching

We believe that solid faith and practice is built upon solid doctrine. In addition to the regular preaching, we have an all-ages Sunday school (on alternating Sundays) after the fellowship meal. There we do a deeper, interactive study on various theological topics.

Missions and Evangelism

We believe that Christ gave his church the Great Commission to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. We love to support mission work through prayer for specific missionaries, and give financial aid as we are able.

We believe it is the duty of every Christian to share the gospel in the home to our children and in our community to our fellow man.
